My wife surprised me this weekend with tickets to see Avenue Q. I heard about this show originally from a viral video a year ago and wanted to see it, I wasn’t disappointed. A parody of Sesame Street, this very adult musical uses puppets mixed with human cast members to tell the story of Princeton, a young guy looking to find what life has to offer someone with a B.A. in English (not much says the man with an M.A. in English). If you get the chance, it’s worth the time, just leave the kids at home (unlike the unhappy couple at intermission rushing their 8-year-old out asking “Mommy, why were the puppets naked?”).
